Services

To achieve our mission; our solutions provide the most effective and efficient balance between human, machine and process to maximize security process performance.

Design & Optimization

To design security checkpoints and to maximize the security process performance, we balance the following design principles:

  • Human Factor: stress reduction for passengers and a positive work environment for staff.
  • Technology: integrating technical solutions that fit seamlessly with the work processes of staff.
  • Process: regulations, policy and requirements translated into manageable standard working procedures.
  • Effective: increase productivity and limiting waiting times/lines.
  • Efficient: balance CAPEX/OPEX, cost efficient use of m2 and efficient deployment of staff.

During the design process we use mock-ups, 1 on 1 scale cardboard models of the machines and solution, to role play various use cases and procedures. Together with your organization we will test the design and based on these findings we will be able to alter the solution where necessary. To alter the solution, we can develop when necessary, custom made solutions to make fit seamlessly with the work processes of staff.

System Integration: Technical Readiness & Operational Readiness

In Aviation security, innovations are constantly introduced to improve performance detection, increase security process performance and to automate agent tasks. We have expertise with the process to bring innovations to technical maturity for large scale deployment. Bringing innovations to technical maturity is not only the technical maturity how a new solution behave technically stand alone, but also the technical maturity when integrated in a checkpoint. Even important is the operational maturity, expressed in the easy of use, effectiveness and efficiency for staff and passengers. We have expertise in accelerating innovation processes to shorten the time to technical and operational maturity.

Operational Readiness, Activation & Transition (ORAT)

The Operational Readiness,  Activation & Transition (ORAT) is the preparation phase before the Go-Live and can be managed as part of the business change. CAS coordinates the work that the organizations involved must carry out on a project basis in preparation for the Go-Live. This may relate to topics such as: the design of the organization, the method of managing the process to be implemented, drawing up work instructions, recruitment plans and training plans.

We set up a monitoring control & reporting structure to maintain an overview and control of progress, to ensure that all preparatory activities for a controlled Go-Live have been carried out, such as the timely recruitment and training of staff. Together with your organization we will draw up a risk mitigation plan for the possible risks which will ensure a compliant and manageable operational process.

Business Change Management

The business change focuses on involving all internal and external stakeholders to jointly define the solution and manage a design process to integrate the solution into the design of the airport layout. Parallel to the design process, a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) elaborates how people, machines and processes work together. To this end, the processes are developed, the human-machine interaction, the process management, organizational structure, functions and roles, and the interfaces with existing airport processes.

During the design process we use mock-ups, 1 on 1 scale cardboard models of the machines and solution, to role play various use cases and processes. These mock-up sessions where all stakeholders are involved, help to validate the design, the CONOPS. But above all, these mock-up sessions supports the business change process to focus the mindset of the stakeholders on what they need to prepare for, for the Go-Live. For the preparation phase before the Go-Live we define with your organisation an Operational Readiness & Activiation Transition approach to steer towards a controlled Go-Live.

Operational Support Services

To optimize the operational process in security checkpoints we offer additional services, an example of one of these services is the “Flying keep”.

The “flying keeps” perform non-security tasks that help improve passenger throughput, security checkpoint performance and increase uptime. These non-security related tasks are often left behind or have to be performed by security officers.

Our support team carries out these tasks, allowing the security guards to fully focus on their security tasks. This has a positive effect on throughput and uptime, examples of which are: preventing diebacks on reclaim, solving simple incidents.

Staff Insights

Gaining insight into how employees apply and understand work instructions provides a deeper insight into process quality, possible areas for improvement and tasks that are left behind.

This insight is obtained based on conversations and using accessible digital surveys. The conversations with employees help to place the input from the surveys in the right context.

The insights show how an implemented system and CONOPS are experienced and what areas for improvement there are. This can be done, for example, for security checkpoints, to identify which non-security related tasks are left behind or distract security agents from their security tasks.
